A Day at the Metropolitan Museum

Growing up I dreamed of traveling and I have all over this country as an adult.  I am 47 now and for the first time in my life I visited The Metropolitan Museum Art in New York and was blown away! We spent 5 hours walking through centuries of history and art that I have seen and read about in books, but to stand in front of  a Van Gogh, Monet and Georgiana to name a few was inspiring and overwhelming all at the same time. I could have spent my whole trip right there and been happy. Then of course there is the building it self which is a masterpiece a time capsule!

Walking through time is how I would describe it. Visiting countries I will probably never see, cultures that have vanished. It seems weird to me for some reason on why I have never been here before now, yet some what familiar at the same time since I studied a lot of what there is here to discover. Take a journey your self with this link. http://www.metmuseum.org  Here are some images of this amazing building.

Cheers
